PRB: API file error when trying to view the Web Client Print ZTN1469 ID: ZTN1469 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 9.1 Web Client Symptom After you install the Zetafax Web Client you browse to http://localhost/zetafax to use it. Instead of the expected rich interface you get an error page stating 'API file error'. You then bring up the http://localhost/zetafax/test.aspx page to test the application and 'Trying to Logon to API as Current user:' shows 'API file error' (as below): Cause The location of the root folder of the Zetafax installation is incorrectly set in the web.config file. Resolution On the server running the Zetafax web client, using Notepad, open the web.config file from "\\Program Files\Zetafax Web Components\web" and browse to the Zetafax configuration section (as below): Edit the value of the "Zetafax.Web.Zetafax" entry (as highlighted above) from "C:\zfax" to the correct location of your Zetafax root folder, then save and close the file.
