PRB: Remote server monitoring option prevents the Server opening Print ZTN1789 ID: ZTN1789 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 2010 Symptom On opening the Zetafax Server an error message is displayed saying “The Zetafax server is not running and cannot be started remotely”. The Zetafax Server then fails to start. Cause The remote administration configuration options designate the server name to connect to. If the server name is too long it will be truncated and as such will not match the name of the actual server. The Zetafax Server will then run in remote administration mode and try to connect to a server that does not exist. Resolution To work around this issue correct the “ServerComputerName” setting in the “Remote Admin” section of setup.ini. Setup.ini can be found in \Zetafax Server\System\Z-DB\ Status This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above. Last updated: 10th May 2010 (LS/MW)
