This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

Symptom

When attempting to delete an item from the Zetadocs Document Factbox, the following error is given and the item is not deleted:

In the Zetadocs Capture Addin logs, an error message is shown starting with “Error deleting from SharePoint” and another line starting with “StartIndex cannot be less than zero”.

Cause

This is due to a case sensitivity issue when deleting documents from SharePoint.

Resolution

Please ensure that your SharePoint URL set in the Zetadocs General Settings page matches the case of the SharePoint library URL.

For instance, the URL could be http://.mysharepointdomain.sharepointsite.local/sites/MyCaseSensitiveLibrary.

Status

Equisys is aware of this issue and will update this technical note when a solution has been found. The current workaround will allow full functionality to be available.
