PRB: Zetafax address book records disappear Print ZTN1090 ID: ZTN1090 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 5.5 and later Symptom When the number of records in the Zetafax address book reaches 1000, all or some of the addresses disappear. The Address book search field contains the letter 'a' and records are not visible. Cause The Zetafax address book search window can only display up to 1000 records at once. When the number of records exceeds 1000 the search field will order the names by the first letter. The search works on the first letter of the last name. If the Record has the name entered into the first name field but the surname is blank. There is no search for ' ' (blank) surnames. Resolution The records need to be changed to include a Surname. This can be achieved by editing the records using the Zetafax client or exporting the address book with the ADBUTIL.EXE utility (Documented in the Zetafax User Guide or Zetafax Technical Note ZTN1056), and editing the 'FamilyName:' field to contain data. Status This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above. Last updated: 14 November 2000 (JG/DH)
