PRB: Zetafax printer removes part of the background image underneath the embedded addressing commands Print ZTN1358 ID: ZTN1358 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax version V8 and higher Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP Professional Symptom When carrying out a "Print to fax" to the Zetafax printer from a document containing the Zetafax embedded addressing commands part of the image appears to be removed. Cause The Zetafax printer driver strips out the embedded addressing commands and whites out the area where the embedded addressing commands were located on the page. Resolution Place the embedded addressing text in an area where there is no background graphics. Alternatively you can use the %%[Discard] command at the end of the document. This allows you to place all embedded addressing commands on an initial 'cover page', which is discarded once the fax has been submitted to the Zetafax server. Note that the use of the %%[DISCARD] command requires the API add-on licence. Status This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
