PRB: Zetalink snap-in fails to initialise.

This Zetalink technical note applies to:

Symptom

The Zetalink configuration program gives an error and fails to show any details when launched from the Zetalink program group.

Cause

The Zetalink configuration program can only be run by users in the ZetalinkAdmins group. The installing user is added to this by default.

Resolution

For installations based on Windows 2000:

Using 'Active Directory Users and Computers', check the members of the 'ZetalinkAdmins' group, then log on as a user who is a member of the ZetalinkAdmins group.

For installations based on Windows NT4:

Using 'User Manager', check the members of the 'ZetalinkAdmins' group, then log on as a user who is a member of the ZetalinkAdmins group.

Status

The behaviour of the software versions given above is as designed.
