FIX: Zetafax SMTP Server crashes when attaching a document with long filenames or filenames containing non-ASCII characters Print ZTN1998 ID: ZTN1998 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 2012 and 2014 SMTP Servers Symptom If a user sends a fax from their email client, and Zetafax is using the Zetafax SMTP Server as the email connector, and an attachment with non-ASCII characters (often found in e.g. the Norwegian language), or if a file with a long filename (over 100 characters) is attached, the Zetafax SMTP Server will crash. Cause Zetafax SMTP Server did not always cope with non-ASCII characters, and had a limitation of 100 characters per filename. Resolution Update - An update is available here to address this issue. This is an update to the Zetafax SMTP Server. Status This behaviour was corrected in the update detailed above.
