FIX: Zetafax SMTP Service crashes intermittently

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack and earlier with SMTP Server

Symptom

When sending and receiving faxes using the Zetafax SMTP Server, the service can become unresponsive or crash intermittently. Frequency can vary between two occurrences within a day to one occurrence per week.

Cause

Zetafax SMTP Server doesn’t handle the closure of sockets optimally depending on network conditions.

Resolution

A hotfix is available from Equisys Technical Support

Status

This fault was corrected in the above mentioned hotfix
