HOWTO: Import language modules from NAV 2013 R2 to NAV 2016 Print ZTN4301 ID: ZTN4301 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 to NAV 2016 Versions v6.0/v6.1/v7.0/v7.1 of Zetadocs for NAV Zetadocs Express Summary This technote details the steps required to import language modules in the latest version of both Zetadocs Express and Zetadocs for NAV. Please notice that this advice consists of two manual steps, one mandatory and one optional depending on your Microsoft Dynamics NAV version. More information Step 1: Installing the Zetadocs NAV Server Extensions In order to compile Zetadocs Objects in NAV, the NAV development environment requires access to some Zetadocs components. Please install the Zetadocs NAV Server Extensions on the same machine as the NAV development environment: Locate the Zetadocs NAV Server Extensions folder of your product download and run the setup.exe file. Proceed through the wizard following the on screen prompts to complete the installation. Note: Please restart the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Service to complete the installation. Step 2: Import the language modules Chose the advice that applies to your Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 Please follow the advice if you intend to import the language modules in a Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 system: After importing the language modules follow the steps below: Open the NAV Development Environment. Go to View -> Table Filter. In the Field, please type: Version List. And in the Filter type: Zetadocs Express users: ZDX* Zetadocs for NAV users: EQ* Press OK. Select all the Zetadocs Objects and compile them. Go to Tools -> Compile. Test it. View a page that contains the Zetadocs Document Factbox in the using the NAV Web Client and again in the Windows Client to verify that everything works as expected. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 and NAV 2015 Please follow the advice if you intend to import the language modules in a Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 or NAV 2015 systems: Before importing the language modules follow the steps below: Open the NAV Development Environment. Go to Tools -> Options. Change the Prevent data loss from table changes option to No as shown in the picture below: Press OK. (Make sure to press OK as using ESC to close the form will revert the changes). Import the language modules. After importing the language modules: Go to Tools -> Object Designer. Select Zetadocs-Archive codeunit (ID 9041220) and compile that object. To perform this step, please notice that you need to install the Zetadocs NAV Server Extensions first. Test it. View a page that contains the Zetadocs Document Factbox in the using the NAV Web Client and again in the Windows Client to verify that everything works as expected. Revert the Prevent data loss from table changes option to Yes.
