This Zetafax technical note applies to:

• Zetafax version 17.5 server installed on one of the following operating systems:
  • Windows Server 2022 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2019 64-bit
  • Windows Server 2016 64-bit
  • Windows 10 Enterprise Edition 32-bit and 64-bit versions
  • Windows 11 Enterprise Edition 64-bit
• Zetafax Fax over IP Connector (SR140 Edition)
• Brooktrout TR1034 and Trufax intelligent fax boards

Summary

The Brooktrout 6.17.1 driver update contains a number of fixes and enhancements. It is intended for use on Zetafax version 17.5 systems which use the Zetafax Fax over IP Connector (SR140 Edition) or Brooktrout fax boards.

Note that if you are on an operating system version not listed in this technical note, you should update to one of the listed operating systems prior to installing this update.

The release includes the following changes since version 6.15.1 of the Brooktrout driver which was included in an update for Zetafax version 17.5

• Added support for SIP over TLS version 1.3
• Resolution for an issue where on occasion, a race condition would take place at the end of the call which may misreport a loss of loop current error when the in fact the transmission was successful.
• Improvement in call initiation behaviour to cope with multiple re-invite messages and partial handshakes from the remote endpoint.
• Resolution of a crash of the Boston Host Service if 10 or more SR140 licences are installed on the system.
