PRB: PDF server side rendering fails for specific PDF documents

This Zetafax technical note applies to:

Zetafax 2012 Platform Feature Pack and earlier

Symptom

When the server is rendering specific PDF files, the rendering process never finishes and the item stays in the queue and other items in the queue never get processed. Usually pdf files with more than one page can cause this issue.

Cause

The reason for this is that the application that does the server side rendering fails to render the file and never returns a status.

Resolution

A hotfix is available that fixes this issue.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the above mentioned hotfix.
