PRB: 'Internet browser is not installed' error when authenticating with SharePoint Online or opening documents from the Factbox ZTN4604 Matt Payne / Wednesday, July 26, 2023 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs for NAV (all versions) Windows 10 and 11 NAV/Business Central on-premises Symptom When trying to authentiucate with SharePoint Online or open a document from the factbox the error message "Internet browser is not installed" is displayed. This applies to all Zetadocs for NAV versions on Windows 10 or 11 using NAV/Business Central on-premises. Cause This happens because the NAV/Business Central RTC client defaults to opening the link using Internet Explorer which has now been retired and disabled by Microsoft. Resolution Registry Editor warning WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Equisys cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. The following steps will guide you through the registry changes which will open the links in a supported browser: Open the Registry key editor (regedit in the windows search) Export and save a backup your Registry Keys The key to edit is \\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Clients\\StartMenuInternet. Modify the DWord (Default) and set the value to IEXPLORE.exe Status Equisys is aware of the issue and will update this technote if another resolution is found.
