What’s new in Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture December 2023 update

Quality improvements

Greg Cole

This article describes the new features and other improvements in the December 2023 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

Release date, version and availability

December 11, 2023 (version 3.0.23335) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Changes in this update

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Email preview missing on BC23 systems

Resolved a Zetadocs Delivery issue, where the email preview panel was not shown on the Zetadocs delivery confirmation screen on Business Central 23 systems, when using a Custom Report Layout for the email body. For customers upgrading from earlier versions of Business Central, there is an additional manual step to follow, after applying this update.

Incorrectly formatting amounts on Swiss invoices

Zetadocs AP automation will now correctly format invoice amounts using the full stop (.) decimal separator on invoices supplied by Swiss vendors. Zetadocs was previously expecting a comma (,) for both quantities and amounts when the vendor Country/Region was set to CH.

Unable to convert from errors using the Document Queues

Fixed two Zetadocs Document Queue issues that resulted in the same error - “Unable to convert from Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Runtime.NavJsonValue to Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Runtime.NavText”. The first issue was caused by adding multiple documents to the corresponding queue SharePoint folder and then using the Refresh button to refresh the list. The second issue was related to when the comment field in the document metadata in SharePoint had a null reference e.g. "Comment":null.

Attempted to divide by zero error after setting an invoice discount

Resolved an AP automation issue that when setting the Inv. Discount Amount (LCY) field on the Preview screen and then attempting to process the invoice, would result in an error “Attempted to divide by zero. Page Purchase Invoice – <invoice_number> . <vendor_name> has to close”.

Archiving fails when SharePoint site full

The Zetadocs Documents FactBox now shows an improved message when the configured SharePoint site storage capacity has been reached “Zetadocs could not archive the document. The SharePoint Site storage limit has been reached. Please contact your Administrator”.
