Barcode processing in the cloud and AP Automation enhancements
This article describes the new features and other improvements in the July 2024 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

August 21, 2024 (version 3.0.24227) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems from the release date.

Feature enhancements
Zetadocs Capture has been updated this release with the following improvements.
New Barcode Processing add-on
Zetadocs Capture now offers a cloud only solution for the processing of documents using barcodes so that customers can split batches of documents using barcodes and automatically file documents using barcode values. Previously this has only been possible using the Zetadocs Server installed on premise.
A Zetadocs Document Queue, that is enabled for barcode processing, can be setup to split batches on every page that contains a barcode or only on pages where the barcode value is different to the previous barcode read. There is also an option to set a barcode prefix so that documents are only split on pages with specific barcodes.
The Barcode Processing add-on is available for Zetadocs Capture customers to purchase, with the automated filing of documents using barcode values requiring a Zetadocs Capture Plus subscription.
View archived documents on Vendor Ledger Entries
Documents archived against Posted Purchase Invoices and Posted Credit Memos will now also show in the Zetadocs FactBox on the Vendor Ledger Entries list, making it simpler to view these archived documents.
Set project information on invoice lines
Project, Project Task and Project Line Type have been added as personalization fields on the Zetadocs AP Automation Preview screen so that customers working with Business Central Projects, previously called Jobs, can now process invoices lines related to a project.
Automatic PDF conversion
All Zetadocs Document Queues will now automatically convert uploaded documents into PDF format so that they can be viewed correctly on the Zetadocs AP Automation Preview screen.
Resolve discount rounding issues
The Zetadocs AP Automation Preview screen now allows for the line amount to be edited so that rounding errors can be resolved when line discounts are applied. Additionally, any discounts calculated on the Preview screen will be rounded to the fewest number of decimal points.
Support for Resource line types
The Zetadocs AP Automation Preview screen now allows Resource line types to be selected.
Delete unwanted lines
An additional option has been added to the Zetadocs AP Automation Preview screen to allow deletion of unwanted lines after matching.
Performance optimisations for Zetadocs AP Automation
Optimisations have been made to the Zetadocs Document Queues refresh and processing actions to provide a smoother user experience when processing multiple invoices using Zetadocs AP Automation. There is now a status field that provides information on documents that have entered the queue and whether they are ready for processing or currently being analyzed, with analysis now happening as a background process.
Quality and performance improvements
This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:
Unable to send customer statements on some systems
Resolved an issue where Zetadocs Delivery would fail to send the Customer Statement report on North American Business Central version 14 systems due to the ZdDateFilter being empty.
Line discount deleted after matching
Fixed an Zetadocs AP Automation issue where a line discount set on the Preview screen would be deleted after matching it to a purchase order line.
PDFs not combined when sending additional attachments for a single record
Resolved an issue where the ‘Combine PDF Attachments’ option in the Zetadocs Delivery Dialog did not work as expected when sending single records whilst using the Zetadocs SDK to add additional attachments.
Zetadocs delivery dialog does not show email body preview
In some upgrade scenarios, the email body preview is not displayed when sending via Zetadocs, and the default email body is used. This release fixes this issue.
Negative discounts are applied to some invoices
Fixed an issue where in some scenarios when unit costs and line totals on an invoice have a mixture of VAT included and VAT excluded amounts, negative discounts may be applied to invoice lines in Business Central.
US date format used for document date instead of local date settings
Resolved an issue where the document date was always set using a US date format.
