Changes in this update
Feature enhancements
Open approval links in mobile app
We have improved the mobile apps so that Zetadocs Expenses web links in emails will now open in the mobile app if installed, rather than opening in a separate browser window on the device.
When an expense report is submitted to you for approval, the system sends you an email which includes links to open the approval task. Previously when you clicked this link the task was displayed in the default browser on the device. The browser page looked like the mobile app, but some users found it confusing to have two different versions of the app running at the same time.
With this update, clicking on the email link will now launch the mobile app to view the task. This is more intuitive for users, and also improves support for offline operations when approving expenses.
Preview features
The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only. This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release. Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.
Hotel expense daily limits
We have removed the restriction blocking use of Payment-Hotel and Payment-General items in the same expense. This means you can now enter a hotel bill including accommodation and meals as a single itemized expense, rather than having to create two separate expenses.
Quality and performance improvements
This update includes general quality and performance improvements, including the following:
Export to Business Central fails with long report description
We have corrected an issue affecting Microsoft Dynamics Business Central systems, which caused export of an Expense Report to Business Central to fail if the report description was very long.
Additional upgrade steps
Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV
Versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector before the July 2018 release (version 3.3.18178) will no longer work, and must be upgraded to export data to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / NAV. See this article for further details.
The upgrade process is quick and easy, and is described in this technote. Please contact Equisys for further assistance if required.
Mobile apps
Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
