FIX: Zetadocs Document Queue fails with "The length of the string must be less than or equal to 2048 characters"

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

• Zetadocs Extension 3.0.22186 and earlier

Symptom

When navigating to the Zetadocs Document Queue, the error below is displayed and Zetadocs fails to load the list of documents.

"The length of the string is xxxx, but it must be less than or equal to 2048 characters" 

Cause

Zetadocs stores the barcode information in a table field limited to 2048 characters. When the cumulative length of the barcodes exceeds 2048 characters, the error occurs.

Resolution

This fault was corrected in an update, which is available in the Zetadocs Extension 3.0.22214.4 or later.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the update detailed above.
