HOWTO How to re-host an SR140 licence Print ZTN2123 This Zetafax technical note applies to: All versions Summary Note: This technical note assumes you have/previously had a working setup of Zetafax server that has been integrated with an SR140 device capable of sending and receiving faxes using FoIP. Dialogic® Brooktrout® SR140 Fax Software (SR140) licenses are tied to the system node ID (also called 'node lock') which is based on the host machine's MAC address. If this address changes for any reason, the license will become invalid and you will see a 'wrong host' error in the License Manager. The online licence activation page can be used to re-host a license to the host's new node ID. More information The licence for Dialogic SR140 is handled by the Brooktrout licence manager tool. This tool creates a Node-Lock ID which is linked to the MAC address of that server. So if the MAC address changes then the Node-Lock ID will change, this in turn will cause the licence to be invalid. Please browse to www.dialogic.com/activation to re-host the SR140 license. Please ensure to RETURN the previous license before re-hosting the new LAC. 1. Use these steps to obtain the NODE ID in order to avoid errors: 2. After the steps above have been completed download the re-hosted LAC. 3. Open the Brooktrout Licence Manager 4. Delete the previous SR140 Licence. 5. Then install the re-hosted LAC.
