HOWTO: Upgrade the Zetadocs Extension for Business Central On-Premise Print ZTN4606 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs – AP automation and bulk emailing extension for Business Central on-premise Summary This technote will detail the steps involved when trying to upgrade the Zetadocs extension within on-premise environments in order to successfully run the latest version of the extension. More information These steps are required in the process of installing a later version of the Zetadocs extension for Business Central on-premise. Following these will result in the existing version being uninstalled and unpublished, with the latest version being published and installed on your Business Central tenant. We strongly recommend taking backups of your environments as well as performing this in your testing environments before attempting this in your live environment. First, go to the Zetadocs General Settings page, click Actions at the top of the page, and then Export Configuration Data, this will serve as a backup in case we need to import this into the new extension. Go to the Extension management page and uninstall the existing extension from your Business Central environment, ensuring that you do not delete extension data when uninstalling (click the three dots on the extension and select Uninstall) At this point, download the latest version of the Zetadocs Extension from the Zetadocs downloads page (it is important to ensure the correct version is downloaded for the version of Business Central in use). Once downloaded, using the Zetadocs administration shell, publish the latest version of the Zetadocs .app file. Steps on this can be found via the Zetadocs installation guide. At this point, the new version of the extension will be published so you now need to Install this from the Extension management page (click the three dots on the extension and select Install). Once installed, please go to the Assisted Setup page and run the assisted setup for the Zetadocs Extension to ensure it’s been adequately configured. Make sure you do not clear all existing Zetadocs Setup Data Make sure you do not Import the Zetadocs Default Configuration At this point, you can now unpublish the older version of the Zetadocs extension to ensure only the latest is listed within the Extension Management page.
