PRB: "The length of the string number is xx, but it must be less than or equal to 50 characters." error appearing when sending email via Zetadocs On-Prem Print ZTN4552 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Microsoft Dynamics NAV version 10 and above BC On Prem version 14 and above Zetadocs for NAV 9.0 and above Symptom The issue appears when a user enters a description with a length of more than 50 characters in 'Customer Name' field for Zetadocs Customer Rule Card or Zetadocs Vendor Rule Card. The system appears with the following message: "The length of the string number is xx, but it must be less than or equal to 50 characters." Cause The maximum number of characters in the 'Customer Name' field in Customer and Vendor Rule Card is 50 although NAV/BC have a name limit of 100. This is a known bug to Equisys. Resolution As a workaround, you can shorten the name up to 50 characters to the documents and it should send out successfully. Status Equisys is aware of this issue and are looking to release an update which fixes this issue in one of our future releases.
