PRB: Unable to search for contacts via mail address book wit 64-bit Outlook installed Print ZTN2139 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax Client on systems with 64-bit versions of Microsoft Outlook Symptom When using the Zetafax Client and choosing to search for contacts via the mail address book in the new fax wizard, either nothing happens, or an informational dialog appears with the following message: 'Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set is as the default mail client.' Cause If users are using a 64-bit version of Outlook, the functionality to search for users via the mail address book is not supported. This is due to the Zetafax Client being 32-bit and is only able to call Outlook to send emails. The option to search by mail address book should be greyed out rather than selectable. Resolution If users wish to make use of this functionality, they will need to have a 32-bit version of Outlook installed. Status The behaviour of the software versions given above is as designed.
