PRB: Zetadocs factbox fails to open or upload documents when Customer/Vendor names include quotation marks or apostrophes. Print ZTN4565 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs Delivery and Capture Extension version 2.0.21177 and earlier Business Central version 14 and later Symptom When using the "COMPANY" option as a part of the Folder Structure in the Zetadocs General Settings if the Customer/Vendor name contains an apostrophe or quotation mark, e.g. Example "Company" Ltd ,then in the Zetadocs factbox clicking "open" to open the document in a new browser tab the page will not open. Also if you click the upload button (or using drag and drop) in the factbox then an error stating "Zetadocs has encountered an error when executing the Zetadocs Web Api request. Please contact your administrator." is shown and no document can be uploaded. Cause This is because these characters are incompatible with the way the Zetadocs Extension opens and uploads files to your SharePoint Online site. Resolution To workaround opening files from the factbox you can use the copy link button and then paste it in a new browser tab yourself. To workaround uploading files to the factbox you can either rename the Customer/Vendor to remove these characters or remove "COMPANY" from the Folder Structure in the Zetadocs General Settings.
