2019: An exciting year ahead!

Discover some highlights that we are looking forward to

As we welcome 2019 and the opportunities it will bring, what can we look forward to this year?

Key to our plans at Equisys is the continuing integration of the Zetadocs suite with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. There are also plenty of trade shows at which we look forward to meeting with our colleagues in the Microsoft partner community and so much more.

Growing popularity of Business Central

Since the launch of Business Central in 2018 in a blaze of publicity, the indications are that its popularity is set to continue growing.

Why is this?

In a nutshell, as Equisys CEO Chris Oswald explained recently in this blog post, Business Central is more than just another ERP system for mid-market companies.

As a cloud-based accounting application for companies who have outgrown QuickBooks or Xero, Business Central is a good choice for companies for whom NAV would have previously represented too big a leap.

As a subscription product, Business Central usage is on a much more flexible pay as you go process, and it is regularly updated with fixes and security patches. New functionality upgrades are issued twice a year – contrasting with the previous model of formal and technically time-consuming annual upgrades for NAV.

It’s versatile too, offering support for cloud, hosted and on premises deployments and Universal Access for employees in any location on a variety of devices via a browser or a mobile app.

To top it all, Business Central is extensible with apps in AppSource that have been vetted by Microsoft.

Of course, Zetadocs Expenses is a great example of one of these extensions for Business Central, and we’re currently converting other editions of the Zetadocs suite into similar add-on apps which will be made available in AppSource.

Zetadocs Version 11.0 now available

On that note, Version 11.0 of Zetadocs is now available for download and adds support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on premises deployments.

To reflect this, we have re-branded the Zetadocs for NAV suite of document management add-ons by removing the “for NAV” part of the wording.

This ensures our brand name remains relevant for new Business Central customers and NAV customers alike. Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture add support for on premises deployments of Business Central also.

Looking ahead further

In 2018 we attended both Directions North America and EMEA and enjoyed the opportunities to meet a variety of partner companies from the Microsoft community.

We’re looking forward to more great events in 2019, including Directions EMEA 2019 in Vienna on October 9 -11 and Directions North America in Spring 2019.

There is so much more to be excited about this year, which we will reveal in due course. In the meantime, we wish you health, happiness and continuing business success throughout 2019.
