Implementing Zetadocs for NAV just got a whole lot simpler

The benefits of Zetadocs for NAV version 9.0

I’m delighted to announce that Zetadocs for NAV version 9.0 is now available for sale internationally. This new release is easier to implement and now includes the no-cost Zetadocs Express in the same installation as paid-for editions to make upgrades simpler. It also adds Drag & Drop capture to the NAV 64-bit Windows client and NAV Web client, and supports Dynamics NAV 2017, meeting our commitment to support new NAV platforms within 90 days.

Easier to implement and support

Dynamics partners rely on NAV add-ons to provide comprehensive business solutions that meet their customers’ individual requirements. Add-ons that can simply be deployed by consultants and that have a low footprint in NAV objects are ideal, as the ownership costs drop dramatically. Over the past year, we have been very focused on making Zetadocs simpler to implement and support by redesigning it to be a server-only implementation.

Now NAV consultants can install and configure Zetadocs once on the Dynamics NAV server for all users: no client software is required. We’ve even removed the need for implementation steps like editing NAV reports and installing printer drivers for our Zetadocs Delivery editions, helping to reduce implementation times. Upgrades, patches or fixes are simpler to deploy as there is no longer any need to upgrade each client PC, lowering the cost of support.

Includes Zetadocs Express

Zetadocs Express is baked into Zetadocs for NAV. That means there is only one software download and no re-implementation costs for the customer when they come to upgrade. By using just a license key, customers can be upgraded from Zetadocs Express to Zetadocs Capture Essentials and Zetadocs Delivery Essentials.

Zetadocs Express includes four Express users free. All NAV users can view directly the documents those users archive within NAV from the Zetadocs Documents FactBox. Customers who need more users or who require additional features can now upgrade to paid-for editions using just a license key.

Supported on all NAV clients

Zetadocs for NAV version 9.0 introduces a single Documents FactBox for all NAV clients. Once this JavaScript add-in is installed on the NAV server, it is automatically available in the 64-bit and 32-bit NAV Windows clients, and NAV HTML clients for desktop, tablet and phone.

Desktop users can then drag and drop documents directly onto records in NAV using the NAV Web client and the NAV Windows clients. Phone and tablet users can upload photos and files to NAV records using the Dynamics NAV Universal App whilst on the go.

However you use NAV

We have added support for Dynamics NAV 2017, so Zetadocs for NAV now supports the very latest version of Dynamics NAV all the way back to NAV 5.00. Installations on premises and in the cloud on Microsoft Azure are supported. This means that Zetadocs for NAV can be added to all but the most obsolete NAV systems.
