Document Queue improvements

This article describes the new features and other improvements in the August 2022 update of the Zetadocs Delivery and Zetadocs Capture Extension for Business Central.

Release date, version and availability 

August 4, 2022 (version 3.0.22214) available for download for on-premises Business Central systems from the release date, and on Microsoft AppSource for Business Central Online systems within ten working days of this release date.

Quality and performance improvements 

This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following: 

Auto linking fails when valid barcode present

Resolved an issue where Document Queue documents with a valid barcode in the Link column follow the manual linking workflow screens instead of being automatically linked to the related record in Business Central.

This issue was introduced in the July update (version 3.0.22186). Once the updated extension is installed, document auto linking will work as expected. No additional steps are required.

Document Queue fails to open when barcode data exceeds 2048 characters

Resolved an issue with the Zetadocs Document Queues failing to load the list of documents with error "The length of the string must be less than or equal to 2048 characters”.

Barcode data is now truncated when the cumulative length of all the barcodes within one document exceeds 2048 characters. This may result in one or more documents remaining in the document queue list after automated processing completes and must be manually linked to the related record in Business Central.
