Changes in this update

Preview features

The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only.  This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release.  Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.

Single sign on using Microsoft work and school accounts

We are adding support for using a Microsoft work and school account to sign in, as an alternative to using a Zetadocs account (username and password).

This update adds support for single sign on to the mobile apps, so this can now be used with all supported browsers and devices to access the client apps and admin site.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes general quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Using latest stable release of Google Maps API

The Zetadocs Expenses client uses Google Maps to determine the distance for mileage expenses.  Previously the apps used a specific version of the Google Maps API.  With this update we have changed to using the latest stable release of the API instead.  This means that the app will automatically update to include fixes or other improvements as soon as they are released.

Additional upgrade steps

Connector for NAV

This release is compatible with previous versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector (versions 3.3.18178 and later).

Versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector before the June 2019 release (versions before 3.3.19148) will not work with Business Central on-premises systems using the April 2019 of Business Central (BC14), or with older Business Central systems with cumulative update 4 (BC13 CU4).

To upgrade the connector, follow the instructions in this technote.  Please contact Equisys for further assistance if required.

Extension for Business Central

There are no changes to the Extension for Business Central with this update

Reporting Template

There are no changes to the PowerBI reporting template with this update

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.

Known issues with released features

Map does not display correctly on Apple iOS devices

We are aware of an issue with displaying maps when using the Zetadocs Expenses mobile app on some Apple iOS devices.

The issue affects how the route is displayed in the mileage expense view and edit screens, causing it to be displayed on a solid grey background instead of overlaying it onto a map.  Moving or resizing the map corrects the issue, and the map will then be displayed correctly.  The issue does not affect the mobile app on Android devices, or occur when using the desktop app in a browser.
