What’s new in Zetadocs Expenses December 2017 update

This article describes the new features and other improvements in the December 2017 release of the Zetadocs Expenses service.

Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

Improved validation mechanism

We have improved the mechanism for displaying validation warnings on expenses and reports, to make this more efficient and reliable.

For expenses which have been submitted for approval, the system now displays a warning if an expense date is 90 days or more before the submission date, rather than comparing this to the current date as previously.  This ensures that the warning is displayed consistently during the approval process, and prevents the warning being added to historic expense reports which were approved several months ago.

Support for iPhone X

We have updated the mobile app to support the new iPhone X. The mobile app also now displays the device status line in portrait orientation, to give extra information to the user and improve usability.

Preview features

The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only.  This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its use before general release.  Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.

Company-specific export codes

We have added initial support for NAV companies which use different account numbers, by including an option on the settings screens to enter a different export value for each company.  This is currently supported for expense types (GL account) and users (vendor number), and will be extended to support other exported items in future updates.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes general quality and performance improvements.

Additional upgrade steps

Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV

This release is compatible with older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits.

The new features in this release do not require the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits to be upgraded.

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
