Feature enhancements

Export petty cash expenses to NAV journals

You can now export non-reimbursable expenses from an Expense Report as a NAV Journal instead of a purchase invoice.  Previously this was only supported from Payment Card Reports, for use with credit cards.

This improves our support for petty cash expenses, for finance teams who wish to reconcile these against individual expenses using a NAV control account.  The finance administrator creates a payment method called Petty Cash, set as non-reimbursable.  Each time a payment is made from petty cash, the expense is entered in Zetadocs Expenses by the user (or by the finance processor if preferred), setting the payment method as Petty Cash.  When the expense report is exported these expenses will be added to the petty cash control account as a NAV journal.

You configure the NAV record type (Purchase Invoice or Journal) independently for each payment method, using the admin site.

Preview features

The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only.  This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release.  Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.

Improved receipt viewer

We have improved viewing of receipts on an expense for desktop users.  The client app now includes an embedded viewer for photos and other image format receipt files.  This enables you to rotate or zoom the receipt simply, and to scroll through multiple receipts stored on an expense with a single click.

We have also added a side pane to the expense view form, which will display the receipt alongside the expense when screen width allows.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes general quality and performance improvements.

Additional upgrade steps

Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV

This release is compatible with older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits.

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
