Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

Credit card transaction matching

We have added support for importing transactions from a credit card statement, matching expenses to these transactions, then exporting the matched transactions to NAV.  This helps finance teams reconcile and categorize the transactions, and reduces work needed to get supporting documentation from the cardholder.

You enable this feature for a payment card using the admin site, by editing the payment method then selecting the Use Payment Card Reports option.  You create a Payment Card Report for that card using the client app by choosing the Import Payment Card Transactions.  The initial release supports cards issued by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), with other card types to follow.

This feature was previously available for preview on selected accounts, and is now released for general use.  Since the previous update we have improved usability by omitting expenses which do not require manager approval from the Add Expenses list when creating an Expense Report.  The system also now allows processors to approve expenses on Payment Card Reports without needing the Approver role, and improves the way that expenses are exported when the transaction amount is different from the entered expense amount.

Exporting optional custom properties as dimensions

In the February 2017 update we added support for setting NAV dimensions on export to custom property values automatically using a configuration setting, rather than using custom integration code for this.

In this update we have enhanced this feature, adding support for custom properties which are configured as optional or have a blank export value.  If the custom property value is blank then the system will leave the NAV dimension value unchanged.  This improves integration with NAV systems which have a default value for the dimension set on the vendor account or elsewhere – the finance team can choose whether the system will override the default dimension value, depending on the custom property value selected on the expense.

This feature requires the Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV to be upgraded on sites which are using this integration method with NAV.

Preview features

The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only.  This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its use before general release.  Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.

ODATA integration

This preview feature adds an option to export to NAV using standard ODATA integration instead of using the Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV and NAV codeunits.  This reduces the need to update the NAV system to make new features or other improvements available, improves support for multi-tenant hosted NAV systems, and simplifies the integration process for new implementations.

The feature currently supports NAV GB databases, for use by UK customers.

Vehicle Reports

This preview feature adds a new report type, called a Vehicle Report.  This enables a company car user to send details about their car usage to the finance team, typically monthly.

The Vehicle Report includes details of the total mileage and business mileage, so that the finance team can use this in their existing processes – eg to recharge the user for personal use or to reclaim VAT on mileage allowances.

Exporting payment card transactions as general journal lines

This preview feature adds an option to export transactions on a company credit card as NAV journal lines, rather than a NAV purchase invoice.  This will be enhanced in future release to support NAV G/L and Bank account types to fit with existing finance processes.

This feature requires the Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV to be upgraded on sites which are using this integration method with NAV.

Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV

This release is compatible with older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits.

Some features in this release require the Zetadocs Expenses Connector and NAV codeunits to be upgraded.  This is noted against each feature above.  Please contact Equisys for further information.

Mobile which have already been installed will be updated automatically.
