Changes in this update

Feature enhancements

Exporting vehicle mileage

When exporting mileage expenses to a CSV file, we now include the vehicle type and vehicle mileage as additional columns.  This helps companies who wish to do additional processing or reporting on mileage.

Preview features

The following enhancements are enabled on selected accounts only.  This allows channel partners and other users to understand the feature and to give feedback on its implementation before general release.  Please contact Equisys if you wish to use any of these preview features.

Microsoft Dynamics Business Central

We have added support for exporting expenses to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, with support for North American and UK systems.  This uses a new Zetadocs Expenses Extension for Business Central, which is available from the Microsoft Store.

The database type (Business Central or NAV) is configured independently for each company in the account.  This enables use by organizations using a mix of Business Central and NAV systems, eg when migrating to Business Central.

The Zetadocs Expenses Extension is generally available.  The feature is available for live use, and is given preview status so we can work closely with early adopter companies and get feedback on installation and use.  Please contact Equisys for further information.

Quality and performance improvements

This update includes general quality and performance improvements, including the following:

Error creating expenses with email inbox

We have corrected an intermittent error which caused some receipts sent to the email inbox to be rejected with error message “unable to process your email”.

Additional upgrade steps

Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV

This update is compatible with older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV.

All sites which export expense data to Microsoft Dynamics NAV must upgrade to the July release of the connector (version 3.3.18178) or later by February 4, 2019.  Older versions of the Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV use a technology called Microsoft Azure Access Control Service (ACS).  Microsoft are due to withdraw ACS on that date which will cause older versions of the connector to fail.  Click here for more information.

The upgrade process is quick and easy, and is described in this technote.  Please contact Equisys for further assistance if required.

Mobile apps

Installed mobile apps will be updated automatically on mobile devices where this is enabled.
