Changes in this update
Feature enhancements
The main enhancements in this release are as follows.
Itemized expenses
You can now itemize an expense, splitting a single payment into two or more items which you can assign to different expense types, projects etc. This enables you to enter each bill as a single expense, making it easier to enter and approve combined expenses.
This is a preview feature, available on selected accounts only. Please contact Equisys if you wish to use this feature.
Online help
We have added online help for the system. This can be accessed directly from the website, or by choosing the Help option in the client app.
Apps now available from Apple App Store and Google Play
We have published the mobile apps to the public app stores. Users with Apple and Android mobile devices can now install the app directly from the store, without having to request this individually from Equisys.
Support for NAV North America database
The system now supports exporting expenses to the NAV North America (NA) database. The Zetadocs NAV Connector installation set includes two sets of codeunits – “NA” for NAV North America databases, and “GB” for NAV Great Britain and W1 databases.
Support for US Sales Tax
We have improved entry and display of sales tax when the company is not able to reclaim the tax component of the expense. This improves usability for US users, and for UK users when entering expenses from other countries.
The system now treats sales tax rates which are configured with a 0% rate as non-reclaimable. The sales tax amount can be entered when needed (eg when entering a net amount), but will not be marked as reclaimable or calculated automatically.
US date and time formats
On systems which are configured for US region, all screens in the client app and notification emails now display dates and times correctly in US format.
US Dollar exchange rates
New systems which are configured with US Dollar as the home currency will now have the exchange rates initialized. The process for setting up new accounts now copies settings from a specified template account, reducing the time required to configure and test new systems.
Extend new user registration period
New users now have 28 days to respond to a registration email, rather than 24 hours as previously. This improves the experience for new users, and simplifies the provisioning process for system administrators.
Quality and performance improvements
This update includes a number of quality and performance improvements, including the following:
Unable to enter email addresses with 3-part domain names
We have corrected an issue which prevented you from entering an email address for a user if the domain name contained three or more parts (eg “bob@acme.co.uk”).
Interim approval history entries not always shown
We have corrected an issue when viewing an Expense Report during approval, where the history lines showing progress were not shown on some devices until the approval process completed.
Additional upgrade steps
Zetadocs Expenses Connector for NAV
The changes in this release do not affect the Zetadocs Expenses Connector or codeunits. Sites using version 3.3.394 or later of these components do not need to upgrade to this release.
Mobile apps
Mobile which have already been installed will be updated automatically.
Known issues
The option to use a control account when exporting credit card payments to NAV is not supported with this software release. The option should be left disabled in the configuration settings screen.
