Zetadocs Expenses adds single sign-on support
Users can now sign in using their Microsoft work or school account
As part of our drive towards making the software simpler to use, Zetadocs Expenses now supports single sign-on using Microsoft work or school accounts.
This makes it easier for Office 365 customers to sign in to Zetadocs Expenses using the same Microsoft account they use to access their other Microsoft cloud services such as Office 365, PowerBI and Dynamics 365. It’s also much simpler for IT staff to manage employee access to corporate software centrally.
Simpler for users
Single sign-on provides Zetadocs Expenses users with a streamlined sign-on experience. Each employee signs in with their existing Microsoft account so that they do not have to remember a separate password for Zetadocs Expenses.
This streamlined sign-on experience is shared throughout the software and includes support for signing in to the admin site, the desktop app and the mobile apps for iOS and Android devices.
Easier for admins
Support for Microsoft work or school accounts makes it far simpler for organizations to grant employees access to Zetadocs Expenses for joiners and deny access for leavers.
When you add a new Zetadocs user you can now search for them in the list of Microsoft users for your company. Zetadocs Expenses then fetches account details from the directory and sets the name automatically, saving time and reducing the chance of mistakes. If the Microsoft account is disabled then the user’s access to Zetadocs Expenses is blocked automatically, making it simpler for IT teams to process leavers.
If some of your users do not have a Microsoft work or school account for your company, you can still let them to sign in with a Zetadocs account, which simplifies access by external contractors or other partners.
Enhanced security
Microsoft work or school accounts use OAuth (Open Authorization), an open standard for token-based authentication and authorization on the Internet. OAuth allows an Office 365 user's account information to be used by third-party services, such as Zetadocs Expenses, without exposing the user's password to the service.
Zetadocs Expenses also supports multi-factor authentication (MFA). If the user has been enabled in their Microsoft work or school account for additional security verification, they will receive an additional security prompt whilst authorizing Zetadocs Expenses.
