FIX: FaxBroadcast loads recipients on an endless loop and never completes

Symptom

When starting FaxBroadcast, or when returning to the main screen following the submission of a fax job, the FaxBroadcast client reloads the list of fax recipients on an endless loop.

Cause

This problem is more likely to occur on, but is not limited to, lower-spec machines that have limited RAM in situations where a fax job contains in excess of 5,000 recipients. The problem occurs because a timer to load the recipients list is firing before the previous load operation has completed.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you should insert a new key into the registry to disable the automatic timer.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the " Changing Keys and Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE) or the " Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and " Edit Registry Data" Help topics in REGEDT32.EXE. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it.

To insert the registry key, please do the following:

• Log onto the machine using an account that has local machine administrative privileges.
• From the start menu, click Run.
• Type the following: regedit
• Click OK.
• In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key:
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Equisys\FaxBroadcast\Options
• Create a new string key called FaxJobRefreshInterval.
• Give it a value of 0.
• Restart FaxBroadcast.
