FIX: NAV crash when using drag and drop from Outlook on 32 bit documents factbox

Symptom

When using Drag and Drop from Outlook to the Zetadocs x86 factbox, the NAV client crashes. The Zetadocs logs show the following exception:

Zetadocs.Exceptions.BaseException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c'

Cause

Zetadocs uses Outlook Dlls to gather additional information on the files being dragged over. In certain conditions, those dlls can’t be found or used from the Microsoft registry keys information.

Resolution

This fault was corrected in a hotfix, which is available by contacting Equisys Technical Support and quoting the technote number ZTN4536.

This fix includes a degraded functionality: if the 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook’ dlls dannot be used, the Zetadocs archive process will still be performed as if the file was a normal file from the desktop, without information of the email sender.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the hotfix detailed above.
