FIX: Zetadocs PDF Configuration Tool corrupted the XML configuration file

This Zetadocs technical note applies to:

• Zetadocs Client Version 9 or earlier

Symptom

Previously when changing from Active Directory to Network Folder, the license file after that action couldn’t not be loaded properly.

Cause

When saving the configuration file, the encoding used was creating unknown characters at the end of the file, which led to be interpreted as corrupted.

Resolution

This fault was corrected in a hotfix, which is available by contacting Equisys Technical Support and quoting the technote number ZTN3623. This fix improves the way that the PDF Configuration tool saves the configuration file.

Status

This behaviour was corrected in the < update/hotfix > detailed above.
