FIX: Zetadocs PDF does not embed fonts in the generated PDF Print ZTN3507 ID: ZTN3507 This Zetadocs PDF technical note applies to: Zetadocs PDF version 1.0 Symptom A user opens a PDF file created by Zetadocs PDF which contains a non-standard font, and the font is rendered incorrectly, i.e. a different font is used. However the PDF looks correct on the machine which created the PDF and the PDF looks correct on any machine which has the non-standard font installed. Cause Zetadocs PDF has not embedded fonts in the generated PDF. Therefore if the user who is viewing the PDF does not have the font installed on their machine, the font will be substituted with a system font which matches the missing font as closely as possible. Workaround Use a standard system font in the source document when creating the PDF. Resolution This problem has been fixed in Zetadocs PDF v1.1. Status This behaviour was corrected by the update listed above. Last updated: 30th June 2005 (SD/EB/PC) Keywords: < Zetadocs PDF> < embed> < font>
