PRB: An error message is displayed on start up of the Zetafax server after configuring a FOIP device Print ZTN1790 ID: ZTN1790 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax 2010 Symptom After configuring a FOIP device the Zetafax Server shows an error message on startup and fails to start. The error message will look like the one displayed below: Cause The cause of this issue is that the local IP address for the device has been entered incorrectly or the Zetafax Server is unable to contact the gateway (e.g. incorrect IP entered for the gateway address, or the network cable is disconnected). Resolution To resolve this issue, the local IP address should be checked and changed to the correct local address if required (not 127.0.0.1 but the address on the network), and the IP settings and connection to the gateway and SIP port checked (this can be verified by running the configuration program for the gateway, as a successful login will indicate that the gateway is accessible).
