PRB: Documents archived before upgrading NAV no longer appear in the Factbox Print ZTN4441 ID: ZTN4441 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs For NAV version 5.0 and later Previously had Zetadocs for NAV v4.x installed Symptom After upgrading Microsoft Dynamics NAV documents archived previously no longer appear in the Factbox. Cause Before version 5.0 Zetadocs for NAV used the “Zetadocs Archive Id” field to identify the documents and the records to which the document was related to. The “Zetadocs Archive Id” that was added to the NAV tables in the NAV database was replaced by a new field called “RecordLink”. When upgrading Microsoft Dynamics NAV the “Zetadocs Archive Id” record field must be kept during the upgrade but if its data has not been preserved as part of the NAV upgrade process then the Factbox will fail to find the documents related to those records. Resolution Filter tables in old system using “Version List” : *EQ* (Note that these are the tables that have been modified with a “Zetadocs Archive Id” field). Add a new field of type GUID called “Zetadocs Archive Id” to the same tables in the new system to have the same “Zetadocs Archive Id” field (ensure you use the same field No and that the name is case and space sensitive). Export the data from those tables using your method of choice. Import the data into the new system updating just the “Zetadocs Archive Id” field matching on No. or the relative primary keys. It is assumed that you will back up the live system data and perform the necessary safety measures to ensure that there is no data loss in migrating this data. Status Equisys is aware of this issue and will update this technical note when a solution has been found.
