PRB: Unable to annotate faxes with the Zetafax client on Windows XP Print ZTN1185 ID: ZTN1185 This Zetafax technical note applies to: Zetafax version 7.5.0.65 Symptom When selecting a received fax and choosing 'Annotate' on the 'Tools' menu, the option is unavailable (greyed out). Cause Fresh installs of Windows XP (i.e. not upgrades) do not have Kodak Imaging installed as with previous versions of Windows. The Zetafax client relies on Imaging to provide an alternative viewer and annotation. Resolution For annotation of received faxes: Open the fax you wish to annotate using the Zetafax viewer then choose 'Export' on the 'File' menu. Specify a file name and then select the file type as 'TIFF - G3(*.tif)' then click 'Save'. Browse to the saved file and double click it to launch the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Use the annotation buttons to annotate the fax. Once you have made the annotations, print the image to the Zetafax Printer. Once the addressing dialog box appears, address the fax in the conventional manner. Confirm the fax in the Zetafax Outbox contains the annotations made.
