This Zetafax technical note applies to:
Symptom
When you attach a file using the “Attach:” command while trying to send a fax using ZSubmit the attached file gets deleted from the source location.
Cause
The “Attach:” command will attach files from the user’s private Z-GRAPH directory or the system Z-GRAPH directory, without deleting them. When a path is used with the “Attach:” command, the file will get deleted.
Resolution
1) Use the %%[File] command instead of the “Attach:” command.
For example,
%%[FILE]
(filename, including path)
2) Alternatively, place the attached file in a Z-GRAPH directory and use the “Attach:” command without a path.
To do this, use the “Attach:” command like this:
Attach: BOOKS.G3F
This must be used without a path. If you include a path, the file will get deleted.
Status
This has been identified by Equisys as a problem with the software versions given above.
