HOWTO: Upgrade from Zetadocs Express to the latest version of Zetadocs for NAV Print ZTN4315 ID: ZTN4315 This Zetadocs technical note applies to: Zetadocs Express Version 9.0 of Zetadocs for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Summary This technote explains how to perform an upgrade from Zetadocs Express to version 9.0 of Zetadocs for NAV. More information Zetadocs Express offers a small subset of the functionality available in the full Zetadocs for NAV v8.0 release, as such to upgrade requires you to do the majority of the standard install steps. The Zetadocs for NAV installers will detect and remove any Express specific components. Please follow the standard installation instructions in the Zetadocs for NAV v9.0 Installation guide. Please note the special cases where you should deviate from the installation guide. Archive Configuration You do not need to setup your document archive again as this is the same for both Zetadocs Express and Zetadocs for NAV. So you do not need to upgrade the SharePoint Extensions or the Zetadocs Archive Service, as you will already be using the same version from your Zetadocs Express installation. You can therefore skip section 2 of the installation guide. Page Interfaces Modification You do not need to carry out the page interfaces modification and importation steps, the modifications done for Express will continue to work. So you can skip the Zetadocs Interface Modification Tool steps in section 3 of the install guide.
