Getting Started
Welcome to the online help files for the Zetafax configuration program. This help manual is designed to help you make the most of your Zetafax system.
Zetafax has been designed for easy installation and includes configuration wizards to ensure you get up and running quickly. The checklist below will ensure that you take advantage of the rich features built into your Zetafax system.
Install and configure the Zetafax Server
Log onto a server as a Domain Administrator. Insert the Zetafax CD ROM and run the Zetafax Server installation. You will be prompted for the
product license number which is located on the back of the CD case. Once the installation is complete open the Zetafax Configuration program. The Configuration Wizard will guide you through the rest of the Zetafax setup.

Test and register the Zetafax Server
Once you have completed the configuration, launch the Zetafax Server from the Zetafax program group. In order to test and register Zetafax you will need to install the Zetafax Client. To do this, use the short cut from the Start Menu. Once installed, select 'Actions, New, Fax', then address and send the fax.
After the fax has been sent you will be prompted to register your Zetafax system.

Roll out the Zetafax Client software to users' desktops
Log onto each user's desktop as a user with local administration rights. Browse to the default Zetafax Server system share \zfax\SYSTEM and run WKSETUP.EXE. Follow the instructions on screen to install the Zetafax Client. If you have many users to install, use Windows Group Policy to deploy the Zetafax Client centrally.

Faxing from email
To send and receive faxes from Microsoft Outlook follow these additional steps:

Advanced features
The following options are available if you would like to extend your Zetafax system further:
Routing received faxes to users' desktops
To route inbound faxes you will require an Intelligent Fax Board and a range of direct inward dial (DID) fax numbers.

Using Zetafax on your Notebook
Install the Notebook option to use Zetafax when you are on the road.

Fax via email support for Lotus Domino and SMTP Mail Servers
The Zetafax Email Gateway can be used with Lotus Notes and most SMTP Mail Servers. These are configured using the Zetafax configuration program.
